I was looking to make a different kind of chicken curry and this recipe combined the unique flavors of kasoori methi and cream. Kasoori methi (dry fenugreek leaves) is often used in Indian cooking and imparts a smoky flavor to the dishes. A yummy party dish which was easy to make, it goes well with roti, poori and rice. What you need:
500 gm boneless chicken cut into cubes
3 tbsp Kasoori methi (fenugreek leaves)
3 tsp ginger-garlic paste
2 tsp lemon juice
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp chilli powder
2 medium onions chopped
1/2 cup light cream
salt to taste
2 tbsp oil
How to make:
1. Marinate chicken pieces in lemon, turmeric powder, chilli powder, salt and ginger garlic paste. Keep aside for 30 minutes.
2. Heat oil in a pan and add the chopped onions. Saute the onions till golden brown.
3. Add the marinated chicken and stir well. Cover and cook till chicken is almost done.
4. Add the cream and kasoori methi and mix well. Cook the chicken till full done.
5. Serve hot.
